Before Gina Morales decided it was her time to open her very own business, she had originally received a bachelor’s in childhood development from St. Edward’s University. She also initially worked as a public school teacher for 5 years, and in advertising for 2 years, but later took time off to take care of her son. Morales became inspired to open up her very own daycare when she looked for daycares that catered to her son’s needs, but she couldn’t find any that did so. However, she also underwent many obstacles in getting the right funding and having her partner leave the business.
Fortunately, she overcame the obstacles by dedicating herself to her business and not giving up. Morales’ daycare is also very unique because it provides STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programs as well as providing a nurturing environment.
Morales graduated from EGBI’s Building Success Program in 2013. EGBI helped her get her foot on the right door by receiving the hands-on knowledge to starting a successful business while getting advice from other professionals. After graduating from the program, Morales continues to receive consulting from EGBI on various aspects of her business.
