Bill McLellan came to Austin in 1990 as the Staff Vice-President for 3M.
He became very active in the community and served on the Boards of the Urban League, Safe place, and United Way of Greater Austin.
He Served as a board member and Chair of the United Way Campaign, and Board Member and Chair of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce.
He served on the Board of Seton Hospital, St. Edwards University, Round Rock Hospital and the University of Texas Arts Committee.
He also served as on the Board of Austin Recovery, and the Work Force Development Board.
Upon his retirement after 36 years at 3M, He became the initial Executive Director of Life Works, and the CEO of the Austin Museum of Art.
He returned to the business world as the founding Vice Chairman of Treaty Oak Bank.
At present he is the Chief Development officer at Family Eldercare, serving Seniors and others in need in the community, and is also the Board Chair of St. David’s Hospital.
Throughout his career Bill has had a strong interest in Entrepreneurship and business development .
One of the divisions he managed during his 3M Career was the Health Care Specialties Division, a Business unit focused on start-up technology opportunities in the Health care field.
