Before Mynor Alvarado thought about opening his business, he had worked in the tech and communications industry. When he decided to help his family’s business, he had recently moved back to Austin in search of greater job opportunities. On the other hand, since his family’s business was already established, he had encountered several obstacles in being able to use the business’ resources efficiently due to the lack of structure. However, due to Alvarado’s positive attitude, he was able to jumpstart his family’s business and reassert everything from investments to cash flows.
Because his family’s business specialized in handyman work and providing cleaning services, the entry level was low due to the corporations creating their own structure. Fortunately, Alvarado was able to offer the best technological resources that increased the communication between him and the customer and made his newfound business grow. When Alvarado worked with EGBI, he mentions that it made an impact on him by, “Building a network of consisted values, which was a network that I could rely on. The network was very important.”
