Minority Certification Bootcamp

 

Guidance on obtaining certifications relevant to minority-owned businesses. Certifications, such as Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) or Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) certifications, can provide access to government contracts and other opportunities. Understanding legal requirements and compliance standards for businesses, with a focus on how they may vary for minority-owned businesses such as: food industries, events, construction, translation, photography, cleaning, etc.

Training program is to empower individuals from minority communities to overcome barriers, succeed in business, and contribute to economic development. Organizations, government agencies, and business associations often offer such programs, so individuals interested in this type of training should explore local resources and online opportunities.

Bootcamp for women and people with historically underutilized businesses. The topics are:

  • What certifications are currently available
  • Who qualifies for each certification
  • What are the benefits of getting certified
  • What to do with your certification to maximize it
