An EGBI Business Coach is a Spanish/English-speaking business professional eager to work with aspiring and existing life-style business owners to start or grow a business. The ideal candidate is an empathic, curious, and energetic business professional with demonstrated success in visioning and executing a business proposition; strong experience in one or more of the following: finance/lending, marketing, and business strategy/planning; experience as an instructor/facilitator of workshops; is organized and technology savvy. The position offers a flexible work schedule Monday – Friday and hybrid remote options. Some evening hours are required. The position reports to the Program Director.
BUSINESS PROGRAM INTERN:
EGBI’s Business Program Intern will obtain hands-on experience while assisting the Program Director to organize and facilitate its business training program. The intern will work with our clients to help grow their small businesses.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ASSISTANT INTERN:
EGBI’s Marketing Intern will obtain hands-on experience helping with overall growth and well-being of the organization. This will work directly with the organization’s Executive Director.
EGBI’s Marketing Intern will obtain hands-on experience while assisting Marketing Manager to promote and brand EGBI’s training, coaching, and support services. The intern will work with our clients to grow their small businesses.
COMMUNITY AND SPECIAL EVENTS:
EGBI’s Marketing Intern will obtain hands-on experience while assisting Marketing Manager Manager to initiate the planning and organize EGBI’s annual fundraiser, Celebrating Success and other special events.
EGBI is fueled not only by financial contributors, but also community volunteers who help serve as mentors and lecturers. - Business financial planning

- Desktop publishing
- Event coordination
- Assist with registration.
- Help with set up and clean up
Fundraising-Experience writing and obtaining grants:
- Experience in fundraising in general
- Grant writing
Development Committee Volunteer:
EGBI is currently looking for volunteers to serve on the Marketing/Development Committee to work closely with Executive Director to find new funding sources & make connections with high impact individuals in the community, assist Marketing Manager, in developing and improve EGBI’s message and reach to gain better visibility and recognition of EGBI’s work and impact, and serve as an ambassador for EGBI. The committee meets once a quarter.
Photographers are needed for images that help us tell the story of the business owners we serve. The volunteer meets with our clients and business owners at their location in Austin and/or surrounding areas, to take pictures. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their portfolio.
