You are cordially invited to our Virtual Picnic on September 9th, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Every year, this event honors the achievements of our clients and their contributions to the local economy. As always, we will be showcasing products and services from EGBI clients. Picnic pack filled with food and surprises will be delivered to participants on the day of the event. Then we will come together online for some fellowship and a short program.
Since 2011, EGBI has provided assistance to over 2,000 individuals looking to start or grow their small business. From 2011 – 2020, EGBI businesses have generated over $104 million in revenue and supported over 160 full-time employees.
This pandemic has been especially challenging for small businesses. In response to the shelter in place order, EGBI immediately began offering all of its services remotely. We have been meeting weekly with clients in online groups in Spanish and English to answer questions and share the most recent information that can benefit them. We also helped many of them apply for Paycheck Protection Program and SBA loans. We are providing ongoing business coaching and help with money management and budgets. Clients can find up to date information on our COVID resource page and in our private EGBI Alumni Group on Facebook.
We have been keeping track on how many of our clients have received the SBA assistance and guiding them on how to use it wisely and within guidelines. Some have used the down time to get their finances in better order, get more organized, and better their marketing strategies. In the true spirit of our mission to provide training, coaching, and support to aspiring and existing business owners who face barriers to growing a successful business, we are not charging for any of our classes or services at this time.
