Celebrating Success

Celebrating Success luncheon will be held on June 18th 2025, from 11:30 PM to 1 PM at the Norris Conference Center, 2525 W Anderson Ln. Austin, TX 7875. More details to come! In the meantime, take a look at our recap of Celebrating Success 2024 below.

Sponsorship opportunities are available throughout the year. Your sponsorship will go towards EGBI’s programs and services. Your support helps us connect individuals to the resources and education they need to make them successful business owners. As you may know, although Austin is an awesome city for small businesses, not everyone has equal access to great resources. We hope you view this as an opportunity that needs to be addressed, and that you join our efforts and help us create, grow and sustain successful grassroots businesses, contributing to Austin’s economy and the prosperity of their families.

Contact Monica Peña, monica@egbi.org (512-928-2594) with any questions or comments.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  We are seeking volunteers to help make our event a success.  Volunteers are needed to help with registration or set up/clean up on the day of the event.

Join us in recognizing the following community leaders:

Lifetime EGBI Champions

EGBI recognizes founder of Las Comadres para las Americas, Nora de Hoyos Comstock, Ph.D and her husband, Jack Bell for their unwavering support of EGBI and catalyst for programming in Spanish for our workshops.

Nora is an entrepreneur, business leader, and pioneer in utilizing social media, built an online community for Latinas to provide a mechanism to share the social capital she and other Latinas had built. As a national founder of Las Comadres Para Las Americas, she served as the organization’s volunteer President/CEO since its inception and she continues this work in her retirement.

Nora’s involvement in the Austin community includes recently being elected to a six-year term as a member of ACC’s Board of Trustees and being on the board of Economic Growth Business Incubator. She volunteers for many local and national projects. She was a major instigator of Spanish-language/bi-lingual offerings at EGBI because she saw the need to bring this important programming to all Austinites.
