Economic Growth Business Incubator (EGBI) is a non-profit organization which provides training, coaching, and support to aspiring and existing business owners who face barriers to growing a successful business.

We frequently work with micro and small business owners and a lot of the businesses that we work with are still in the design state and are not active yet; or they have been in business for less than five years. Some of the businesses who partner with EGBI could be considered informal businesses and the owners are ready to transition into a more structured business entity. Typical businesses that partner with EGBI are mom & pop businesses and lifestyle businesses.

Established since 2003, EGBI facilitates its services to entrepreneurs in Central Texas and the business acumen they acquire helps to yield traction to their small businesses, generating economic development, upward social mobility in our community, and an improved overall quality of life in our region.

As of 2023, our organization has provided over 4,200 hours of business coaching funded by a powerful combination of grants, contracts, and client contributions.

E.G.B.I. believes that all businesses should be profitable, sustainable and an asset to the community. To that end, we offer a comprehensive package of business coaching, group workshops, and support services for aspiring and existing businesses.

RANKED #1 INCUBATOR/ACCELERATOR IN 2023

BY THE AUSTIN BUSINESS JOURNAL

The 2023 list of accelerators and incubators is one of the several lists presented as packages to aid startups and entrepreneurs.

This year, the list is ranked by the total number of companies that went through the program. Cohorts for 2022 are also tracked. To be considered for the list, list makers must be able to disclose some program attendance information.

This list is open to programs within Austin-area operations. Information is gathered from ABJ surveys and news stories, company websites and phone interviews.
